On November 13, 2023, SAGAYDAK EVGENY, the Vice President of Novosibirsk State University, Savchenko, the deputy director of the International Education Center of Novosibirsk University and Kolchanov, the deputy dean of the School of Physics and Mathematics of Novosibirsk State University came to Chongqing to discuss international education cooperation. The delegation of Novosibirsk State University went to Chongqing University and Chongqing Education Commission respectively and the two sides had in-depth discussions on cooperation in running schools and educational exchanges.

During the visit, Professor. Liu Hanlong, the Vice President of Chongqing University, Professor. Zhang Zhiqing, the director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and the director of the International Student Affairs Management Center of Chongqing University, firstly introduced the basic information of Chongqing University and the blueprint of cooperative projects. Then the Russian representatives introduced the general information, characteristics and advantages of Novosibirsk State University. The two sides exchanged views on teacher-student exchanges, talent introduction, cooperative education and scientific research cooperation.

Huang Xiaojun, the deputy dean of the School of Data Statistics of Chongqing University, also participated in the meeting and expressed strong interest in cooperation. The two sides planned to take the international cooperation in the School of Mathematics and Statistics as a pilot project and carry out more cooperation on education, talent cultivation, professor exchange and joint scientific research.

The Russian side expressed their willingness to jointly hold and promote China-Russia educational cooperation projects as well as support the high-quality construction and development of Chongqing University. It is not only a bilateral cooperation project between the two universities, but also an important educational cooperation between the two peoples.

Subsequently, the Novosibirsk State University's delegation paid a visit to the Chongqing Education Commission. Relevant officials of the Education Commission and leaders in charge of international cooperation made a detailed introduction to the current situation of higher education and international cooperation in Chongqing. The two sides jointly discussed the opportunities and models of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools and other potential education fields, proposed the establishment of a friendly exchange and diversified cooperation mechanism between Chongqing Municipality and Novosibirsk, Russia.

The visit has deepened the understanding of international education and promoted the friendship between Chongqing and Novosibirsk. The two sides hopes to further carry out in-depth cooperation in many fields such as student cultivation, teaching and research, and friendly exchanges of teenagers. YGL will continue working with the partner universities to further promote the educational cooperation and people to people exchange between the regions.
