Nov. 3, 2023 — YGL today successfully held a meeting between the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) and Hebei University of Economics and Business (HUEB). Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova-Boshnakova, Vice-Rector for Educational Activity and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yanko Hristozov, Secretary General for International Affairs attended the meeting. Representing HUEB is Professor Liwei Shang, Director of International Exchange Center. Other participants are the representatives of the secondary colleagues from both universities.

The meeting started with a brief introduction to UNWE from Dr. Yanko Hristozov, Secretary General for International Affairs. UNWE is the largest and the eldest higher economic school with a history of 100 years in Bulgaria and Southeastern Europe. So far, it has cooperated with many universities and institutions at home and abroad, receiving more than 15,000 international students for over 100 cooperative programs.

Then, HUEB also presents a brief introduction including showing a video. For many years, HUEB has stayed committed to cultivating all-round talents with theoretical and practical skills and contributing to the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. Meanwhile, it also has cooperative programs with many international high-level institutions. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of HUEB. On this occasion, it is seeking new opportunities to expand its connection with the international community.

Both the two sides would like to reach a consensus on joint program or joint institution, as well as conducting all-rounded exchange and collaboration between the two sides. Both parties agrees to have a follow-up meeting for more specific discussion. YGL will continue our efforts to help the two universities to achieve cooperation in their strong fields.
