On the afternoon of December 15, with the coordination of YGL, Fujian Medical University and Novosibirsk State University held a video conference to discuss international education cooperation. Luo Ni, the Deputy Secretary and Director of Organization Department of Fujian Medical University, Li Shihong, the Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Zheng Min, the Vice President of the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Luo Daosu, the Vice President of the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences in Fujian Medical University and Professor Sagaydak, the Vice Rector of Foreign Affairs of Novosibirsk State University and the Director of the International Education Center "NICE", Professor Andre, the Director of the Institute of Medicine and Psychology, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Professor Vladimir, the Deputy Director of the Institute of Medicine and Psychology, attended the meeting.

The Deputy Secretary Luo Ni introduced the basic situation of Fujian Medical University to NSU. She pointed out that Fujian Medical University attaches great importance to the educational cooperation with Novosibirsk State University. Fujian Medical University has always adhered to the concept of open education and has signed MOU with nearly 60 universities and research institutions at home and abroad. Novosibirsk State University is known as the "Silicon Valley of Russia" and enjoys a high reputation in Russia. The two universities can achieve the vision of complementing their advantages & resources and common development if they carry out educational and research cooperation.

Professor Sagidak, gave an overview about Novosibirsk State University. Subsequently, Professor Andre, the director of the Institute of Medicine and Psychology, introduced the status quo of the medical school of NSU and the potential cooperative areas & disciplines. He stated that China and Russia have different standards for the training and admission of doctors, but both sides have a common foundation for cooperation. Novosibirsk State University highly recognizes Fujian Medical University's training plan and hopes that the two universities can cooperate and exchange in medical field. He looks forward to the successful cooperation between the two universities.

Subsequently, the two universities discussed and reached a consensus on scientific research cooperation, joint training of medical talents and agreed to sign a MOU after the meeting. The meeting has laid a solid foundation for the further understanding and cooperation between Novosibirsk State University and Fujian Medical University. YGL will continue to spare no effort in providing constructive suggestions and substantial assistance for the smooth cooperation between the two universities.
