On April 24, 2024, Professor Dr. Stratos Georgoulas, Vice Rector on Internationalization, Extroversion and Student Welfare of University of the Aegean, visited the head office of YGL in Beijing. YGL’s President Liu Jiting, CEO Shen Rong and the related staff received the Vice Rector’s visit.

Both sides discussed and communicated various possibilities for cooperation modes and directions and exchanged views on the various issues related to the cooperation. YGL recommended excellent Chinese institutions with intention to carry out international cooperation to the University of the Aegean, analyzed the cooperative majors with advantages of both sides, and laid a solid foundation for the future in-depth cooperation in Joint Education.

YGL expressed that they will exert their utmost efforts to promote exchanges and cooperation between world-class universities such as the University of the Aegean and Chinese outstanding universities, and facilitate exchanges and interactions between Chinese and foreign education and culture.

The University of the Aegean is a leading institution not only in Greece but world widely. It aims to make significant contributions to the economic and social development of both the nation and the region. Hosting six Schools in six different islands (School of Social Sciences, Business School, School of Sciences, School of Humanities, School of Environment and School of Engineering) the UoA is a research oriented multi-disciplinary university with strong European and international focus, pursuing innovative educational programs and interdisciplinary fields of study and research, developing a dynamic academic community promoting high quality in education and research and seeking to promote strong social and economic stakeholder in the region.
