On 13th May 2024 , the delegation from YGL visited the University of Chester, U.K. Mr. Jonathan Pritchard, Director of International Department of the University of Chester, and his other colleagues warmly welcomed YGL's visit.

The University of Chester is located in Chester, an ancient city with a history of 2000 years, with a strong British culture, also one of the eight heritage cultural cities in the United Kingdom, the safest campus city and the most suitable area for living, with convenient traffic and beautiful scenery.

YGL and the University of Chester have been working together for nearly 8 years, all based on that both parties share the same educational philosophy and unlimited pursuit of educational quality. With the help of YGL, University of Chester established partnership with over 10 Chinese universities covering the areas of joint cultivation of students; short-term project, exchange of students and teachers, joint research and transform of research achievements. Founded in 1839, the University of Chester is one of the UK's top 5 oldest comprehensive public universities. As the first normal higher education institution in the UK, the university of Chester has a well-deserved reputation for its teaching quality and the achievements of its graduates. According to the latest statistics from 2020, 74.8% of Chester's undergraduates graduated with first and second class degrees, and was also ranked as a Top 10 UK university by the British Council in the 2018 Overseas Student Survey.

At the meeting, YGL and the university of Chester also reviewed their longstanding and excellent partnership, summarized and planned the next arrangements for cooperation on short-term program, study tours and master's program, and further explored opportunities for large-scale college-level cooperation between the University of Chester in China.

The University of Chester has shown great interest in the cooperation with Chinese institutions, reached a consensus with YGL to promote the collaboration, and formulated a comprehensive schedule to promote the cooperation, so as to make all the preparations for the in-depth facilitation. At the same time, YGL will also actively cooperate with and promote the relevant projects, and is committed to the diversified development of education in both countries.
