On June 5, 2024, Jilin Agricultural University and University of the Aegean held a video conference to discuss international education cooperation. Yu Hansong, the Dean of the School of Food Science and Engineering, Jilin Agricultural University, and Professor Gkatzionis Konstantinos, the Head of Department of Food Science & Nutrition, University of Aegean, were the chair from both sides. Other staff for international cooperation affairs from both sides also attended the meeting.

Director of International Affairs from JLAU, Professor Cui Chun introduced the basic situation of Jilin Agricultural University to University of the Aegean. He emphasized that in order to further deepen the cooperation between JLAU & UAegean, leaders of JLAU will pay an official visit to University of the Aegean in this October. Jilin Agricultural University puts a high value on the Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution that the two universities going to build in the following days. He hopes the two sides could cooperate in the co-construction of research platforms and related exchange & cooperation such as student exchange, Summer/Winter camps, international conferences, etc. JLAU will also provide the Chinese Language courses for the students from UAegean. Hope the two universities could have more opportunities to exchange ideas and looks forward to the successful cooperation in the near future.

Professor Gkatzionis Konstantinos introduced the Department of Food Science and Nutrition of University of the Aegean. He emphasized that UAegean has a long history of cooperation with universities worldwide, such as the universities in Malaysia, Indonesia，Thailand, etc,. Chinese international students are welcomed to apply for undergraduate, master's and doctoral program as well as participate in various short-term programs such as summer& winter camps and student exchange. UAegean is looking forward to writing a new chapter of cooperation with Jilin Agricultural University and jointly exploring international cooperation in the field of food science and nutrition as well as food technological innovation.

With the help of YGL, University of the Aegean has built connection with a number of high-quality Chinese universities on different aspects of educational cooperation. YGL will continue looking for new partners and opportunities for UAegean.
