At 9am Beijing time on July 9, 2024, Guilin University of Electronic Technology and Berkeley College from the United States held a Zoom online conference to discuss international cooperation between the two universities and signed the MOU agreement on site. Presidents of both universities attended the meeting as the representatives. At the meeting, the host of the Chinese party first introduced the leaders and guests, and then the president of Berkeley, Diane Recinos, delivered a speech. The leaders from both sides respectively presented detailed information about the two universities through exquisite PPT presentation, including their history and advantages. The foreign side specifically introduced international cooperation experience, especially their successful cooperation with Sanya University. Afterwards, the discipline leader from the Chinese side carefully explained the talent cultivation, teaching and education, scientific research cooperation, and industry education cooperation in their respective field.

At end of the meeting, both sides signed the MOU and took a group photo during a friendly conversation.

This online conference further consolidated and expanded the international cooperation network of the two universities,and laid a good foundation for the two to deepen inter-university exchanges, joint training, credit recognition, Chinese-foreign cooperative education, and for students to go global.
