On May 20th, 2021, the "International Digital Economy College, Minjiang University", a non-independent legal person Sino-foreign joint-teaching college organized by Minjiang University and European University of Cyprus, was officially approved by the Ministry of Education, China. This institution is the first undergraduate-level Sino-foreign joint-teaching college received approval for MJU. The college is of significance in building a system of training professional talents with an global perspective, strengthening the cultivation level of applied talents, enhancing discipline construction, and helping high-level applied university construction. Since the year of 2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cyprus and China, this institution will add further luster to the two countries' celebration activities of 50th anniversary.
