On June, 29th, the online meeting between Shaanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics and Vocational Training Institutes "Orizon" (IEK Orizon) came to a successful ending.

The meeting focused on the implementation plan of IEK Orizon and STCFE to jointly establish an overseas campus of STCFE in Kalamata, Greece. It is one of the important substantial cooperation project between Xi’an and Kalamata, since the twinning of the two cities in 2009, therefore is greatly valued and supported by local government of both sides.

Wang Yong, Vice President of Shaanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics, Fotis Bougas, CEO of IEK Orizon, and Eliana Christofilopoulou, Head of IEK Orizon, attended the meeting. Present were also directors of related departments of both universities. At the meeting, both sides exchanged views on introduction of high-quality Chinese courses into IEK Orizon, student exchanges, establishment of overseas internship bases and teacher training, where important consensus has been reached. It is expected this overseas campus of STCFE could be a platform to export the high-quality vocational education resources of China, for communication, exchange and cultivation of personnel, and also a base for Chinese students to get more overseas working and practice experience.

On behalf of Beijing YGL International Education, which was the initiator and coordinator of this cooperation, Ms Simona Luo was present, serving as the moderator to facilitate the discussion.

Both institutions are now in the process of discussing on implementation plan of the Greek campus of STCFE. We wish it a successful start on the year 2022, which marks 50th anniversary of diplomatic relationship between China and Greece.
