On July 6th, 2022, with the coordinating of YGL, the meeting between Liaoning University of Technology and Novosibirsk State Technical University was successfully held online.

This meeting was honored to invite the leaders of both universities including Prof. Qi Wang, president of Liaoning University of Technology, Prof. Yanjun Liu, vice president; Anatoliy Bataev, president of NSTU, and Vadim Nekrasov, vice president of foreign affairs. Besides, Professor Guangcai Dong was invited as the special consulting expert, and the representative of YGL acted as the host of this online meeting.

This meeting started with the presentation of the two universities, giving a brief introduction on colleges and majors, the infrastructure and environment. With great similarity and complementary advantages, both universities have held great interest and willingness for cooperation programs. On the meeting two parties reached initial agreement on cooperation in running a joint teaching program in engineering area. And it was urged to accelerate the detailed connection by the universities to make things go fast and smoothly.

Novosibirsk State Technical University provides best engineering education tradition and technical solution in Siberia. Scientists and engineers at NSTU create about 200 inventions every year for Russian companies in the fields of new materials, electronics, energy and IT. It is one of the top ten educational research and development centers in Russia in terms of electric power industry technology. It is believed this cooperation will bring new opportunities concerning academic development and internationalization for both universities.
