On Oct.28th, under YGL's coordination, the first joint management committee conference of Shanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics Qinling Workshop was held online via Zoom meeting.

The participants include Mr. Fotis BOUGAS, the president of IEK Orizon, Prof. Kostas GOULIAMOS, the fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Nikos STAKIAS, the director of International Relation of Orizon, Prof. CHENG Shuqiang, the president of Shanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics, Prof. WANG Yong, the vice president of STCFE, and other faculty directors from both sides. The relevant project leaders and members of YGL attended and hosted the conference.

Upon the declaration of the establishment of the Joint Management Committee, Prof. CHENG Shuqiang, the president of STCFE, awarded the brand of "Qinling Workshop" to IEK Orizon. Mr. Fotis BOUGAS, the president of IEK Orizon, acknowledged the brand. Then, Mr. Nikos Stakias, the director of International Relations, delivered a speech and briefly introduced Greece and Kalamata City. He said the Belt and Road Initiative has laid a good foundation for Sino-Hellenic cooperation in jointly running educational programs.

The year 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Greece. Prof. Kostas GOULIAMOS also expressed a positive attitude towards the cooperation since the leaders of the two countries both continuously deepen their exchanges in all ways for the past 50 years. Xi'an and Kalamata are both important hub cities of the Belt and Road Initiative, the cooperation between the two parties would enrich and innovate new forms of development. Prof. GOULIAMOS announced the launch of three first-stage programs. The directors of the relevant programs of STCFE respectively introduced them.

The conference ended in a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere with Prof. CHENG Shuqiang and Prof. Fotis BOUGAS delivering sum-up speeches. Prof. CHENG and Prof. BOUGAS both drew up a promising blueprint and expressed their sincere wish for the cooperation. The cooperation will bring new vitality for both parties and contribute their own effort for promoting Sino-Hellenic relationship.
