On November 1st, under YGL's coordination, Minjiang University and European University Cyprus held a meeting centering around the topic of measures against the current epidemic situation and quality of online teaching online. The participants include Professor Loizos Symeou, Vice Academic Dean of IDEC, Professor Kostas Gouliamos, Deputy Chair of Joint Management Committee, and Ms. Maria Koliandri, the HR Manager from EUC. Attendance from Minjiang University are and Professor LIN Zhongyan, Dean of IDEC and Mr. ZHENG Jian, Director of International Affairs of Minjiang University, and other colleagues at IDEC. The relevant representatives from YGL hosted and interpreted for the meeting.

The meeting started by introducing the current epidemic situation in Fuzhou area. Dean of IDEC Professor LIN said that recently, the Covid-19 pandemic broke out at multiple points in Fuzhou city. But the government have implemented a fast and precise control to certain areas. The campus of MJU is still very safe from the attack of coronavirus and everything is still functioning in order. The administrators of MJU attaches great importance to foreign teachers' living in IDEC and will make every effort to protect all the teachers and students' well-being.

Then, MJU also explained how IDEC has regulated the teachers and the students' behavior during online courses which effectively guarantee the online teaching activities function in proper order.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. GOULIAMOS thanked MJU for taking care of the teachers from EUC and showed faith in the success coming soon. He also gave high praise for YGL's endeavor on the smooth cooperation between the two universities under the complex situation and place great hope that YGL could keep acting as the coordinator and link between EUC and MJU. Wish the epidemic situation can get under control as soon as possible and MJU can return to normal educational order.
