On March 3, 2023, YGL President LIU Jiting and CEO SHEN Rong, arrived in Kalamata, the capital of ancient Greek Mycenaean civilization. They were accompanied by Professor Kostas Gouliamos, former Rector of the European University Cyprus, and member of the European Academy of Science and Art.

On March 4, the mayor of Kalamata received the YGL delegation in his office at the municipal government. During the conversation, the mayor promised to fully support the deepening of cooperation with the local government of China in economy, trade, culture, education, tourism and port transportation. On the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kalamata and Xi'an, he expressed his hope to establish friendly relationships and carry out various cooperation with more cities in China, effectively promoting in-depth exchanges between China and Greece.

Later, the mayor invited the YGL delegation to participate in the Central and Eastern Europe art exhibition organized by the University of Peloponnese. The exhibition brought together dozens of well-known artists, photographers and university professors and scholars from Serbia, Montenegro, northern Macedonia, Turkey and Italy. Starting in Kalamata, Greece, the exhibition will end in Paris, France, and will last for more than two months in different countries. The YGL delegation was honored to witness the integration and exchange of European humanities and arts.
