Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan and the President of the Greek Parliament Constantine Tassoulas met at the Greek parliament in Athens on the 20th of February, 2023. Sun Chunlan was accompanied by Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education, Gao Zhidan, Director of China's General Administration of Sport, Xiao Junzheng, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Greece, Meng Yang, Deputy Secretary General of the National People's Congress and Cao Xuetao, Vice-minister of the National Health Commission. Following the meeting in the Hellenic Parliament, the inauguration of the Center for Ancient Greek and Chinese Culture took place in the Great Hall of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Professor Mantzavinos, the Center's board member and Vice Rector of the University of Patras in Greece, also an important partner of YGL, introduced to Sun Chunlan the cooperation programme between the University of Patras and Fujian University of Technology.
