After the lock-down of almost 3 years due to the COVID-19, in spring 2023, YGL sets off to Europe to make off-line visits to the partners, with which the communication has been restricted online during the epidemic.

Italy was the first stop. YGL has established partnership with PLENA Education in Italy from long time ago, and was invited to visit the main institution and academies under the group through Rome, Milan and Siracusa.

In Milan, YGL was invited to visit SPD, the design school providing mainly master programs and featured in industrial design, and then Ferrari Fashion School located at the center of Milan’s fashion industry area. In Rome, YGL visited two campuses of Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA), and the St Louis Music School located at city center. Lastly at Siracusa, it came the Siracusa Academy of Fine Arts based in a historical building by the side of beautiful island of Otiga.

During the visit, YGL delegation took tours around the campus, visited the facilities and venues, and attended classes. The arts education in Italy has charmed numerous Chinese students. YGL, which has successfully helped PLENA education to establish joint program in China, will continue and expand this partnership and welcome more Chinese students to study art in Italy.

The Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD), founded in 1954 by the famous Italian painter Nino di Salvatore, was the first modern design school in Italy, offering one-year master's programs. For nearly 60 years, the school has close links with important design organizations such as ADI (Italian Association of Industrial Design), AIAP (Italian Association of Graphic Designers) and ASFOR (Italian Association for Management Development), and the proportion of international students reaches 70%.

The teaching quality of the school has been highly recognized by enterprises, and has reached in-depth cooperation with a number of companies, including: Microsoft, Ermenegildo Zegna, Lamborghini, Maserati, EMI Music and so on. The school has trained thousands of outstanding designers, many of whom serve as the chief designers of first-line brands, such as Maserati, Leo Burnett advertising agency, MTV, etc. There are also founders of famous design studios, including: Aldo Cibic, Ferruccio Laviani and others.The School is located in the most concentrated design district of Milan, close to many art galleries, architectural firms, design studios, media and publishing companies.

The Ferrari Fashion School is a fashion and design school in Milan that offers three and two year courses in fashion design and fashion business. The Saint Louis Music Center is the first private advanced music arts education institution in Italy authorized by the MUR to award first - and second-class degrees in jazz, popular music, electronic music, directing, sound technicians, and composition. The school enrolls more than 1,300 students each year, as well as students from abroad, and has a stable teaching staff of 120 nationally renowned teachers. St. Louis has 4 locations in the Rione Monti district of central Rome, equipped with 50 multipurpose classrooms and 5 recording studios for teaching and recording production. The school is employability oriented, enabling young musicians to be supported at all stages of music creation, including setting up performance groups, liaising with mentors, composing, distributing, promoting CDS, etc. Outstanding graduates have the opportunity to stay and teach at a public secondary school in partnership with the St. Louis Conservatory of Music.

Founded in 1998, RUFA has been providing for its students accredited and innovative courses in the field of Arts, Design, Visual Communication, Audiovisual, Fashion, Game, and Media Arts. The "Rosario Gariadi" Academy of Fine Arts in Siracusa was founded in 1995, located in the beautiful coast of Sicily, hometown of Archimedes, the ancient Greek scientist and philosopher. The school offers undergraduate majors in Fashion and textile design, design, Visual Communication and animation, and master programs in product design, Fashion design, graphic design and decorative design. It has a branch school in Florence, Italy. It is an institution of higher learning recognized by the Italian education authority and officially certified by the Ministry of Education of China. The university has now joined the Socratic-Erasmus exchange program. The school's clothing and textile design program is based in Lottozero, the Center for Textile Design, Culture and Research, located in Prato, the center of cotton spinning and garment manufacturing in Italy, which focuses on "Made in Italy" and combines historic local technologies with the most innovative international trends.

In the summer, a group of students from China will take a tour at Italy for a photography workshop. They will follow the path from Milan to Siracusa, and have visits through the academies of PLENA Education, having a memorable summer of Italy.

Siracusa Academy of Fine Arts and Design aims to work at the crossroads of design, art, traditional crafts, and local culture, creating an operational platform based on the beautiful island of Sicily, Italy.
