YGL delegation paid an official revisit to Technical University of Crete in Chania, the second largest city in Crete, Greece in June, 2023, thanks to friendly, long-term cooperation between two sides previously.

Technical University of Crete is the Top 3 technical universities in Greece, with its research in Engineering ranking the first in the country. Other world-leading majors include Petrochemistry (QS Global 51st), Energy and Environment (QS Global 401st), Electronics and Artificial Intelligence (Shanghai Ranking Global 201st). The university boasts numerous reputed scholars in Europe, with 36 professors listed in the "2022 Best Scientists Ranking" by Research. com. Technical University of Crete has built good relations with Chinese universities and research institutes, including Beijing Institute of Technology and National Satellite Ocean Application Service.

This meeting successfully forged a comprehensive and strategic relationship between YGL and the university, where both sides can seek cooperation in building joint institutes, pursuing joint scientific research, facilitating student exchanges, and promoting Chinese language and culture at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The leaders of Technical University of Crete showed great enthusiasm in all kinds of cooperation with Chinese universities.
