On July 9, 2023, Prof. Dr. Kostas Gouliamos, former Rector of the European University Cyprus (EUC), visited the Shaanxi Technical College of Finance and Economics. Dr. Kostas Gouliamos was accompanied by YGL, the China Office of the European University Cyprus, and was warmly received by President Cheng Shuqiang and other school leaders of the college.

President Cheng emphasized that the Sino-Greek Qinling Workshop and the Doctoral Program of the European University Cyprus (EUC) are two flagship internationalization projects at Shaanxi Technical College of Finance and Economics.

Three courses from the college, namely Big Data and Accounting, Art Design and Hotel Management, have been accredited by TQUK and accepted by IEK Orizon this year. President Cheng hoped to further promote the people-to-people exchanges on vocational education among China, Greece and Cyprus and to contribute the overall cultural and educational undertakings of the countries. Prof. Dr. Kostas Gouliamos said that China and Greece are two ancient countries with profound history, who have had close and fruitful cooperation in the era of globalization. He also touched on four top-level initiatives promoted by President Xi Jinping, namely the "Belt & Road Initiative", "Global Development Initiative", "Global Security Initiative" and "Global Civilization Initiative". Prof. Dr. Kostas Gouliamos appreciated the college's efforts towards internationalized education and the cooperation between EUC and the college at the micro-level. And as the two sides further join hands, he hoped to see the all-round sharing of educational resources, in order to provide students and teachers with richer learning experiences and wider space for personal development.

President Cheng presented Prof. Dr. Kostas Gouliamos with the certificate as a visiting professor in Shaanxi Technical College of Finance and Economics. And on behalf of EUC, Prof. Dr. Kostas Gouliamos sent the offer letter to the Class 2023 representatives in the Doctoral Program and sent invitation to President Cheng for an official visit to Greece and Cyprus by end of this year.
