On July 18th, a warm welcome was given by Professor Bobylo Andrey Mikhailovich, the vice prisident of foreign affairs, who had a in depth meeting with YGL. On the meeting there were also the director of the international collaboration department, and teaching affairs department, and deans of collaborative schools. Both sides discussed about the potential collaboration with Chinese universities on joint education, joint research, exchange of faculty and students, etc.. At end of the meeting, an agreement was reached that YGL shall be the representative and consultant of MSUN for inter-institutional collaboration in China, and provide all-rounded collaboration opportunities to MSUN.

After the meeting, YGL was invited and guided to a campus tour at MSUN, and learned more about the history of the university. The university has 17 teaching and training buildings, plus supporting dormitories and canteens. Student are provided with quite cozy environment and fulfilled facilities of living, dining and physical excise as well.

YGL also visited the Far East Maritime Training Center established by MSUN. It is the most advanced and systematic maritime training center in Russia. The Far East Maritime Training Center of Nevelsky National Maritime University was inaugurated by President Vladimir Putin On September 2, 2021, who made a speech and took a photo with teachers and students at MSUN.

The training center is a 6-story building, which gathers practical training projects of various maritime majors and professions, and provides the most advanced virtual simulation practical training system for students. It enables the students to get to know the frontier technology in the industry, also learn about coordination and cooperation of different majors in the real work place, using the advanced distance education system and information science and technology.

Being one of the first institutes providing maritime education in far east, MSUN is the one of the three main maritime universities in Russia, with its specialized feature and advantage in training of Seafare training. This visit is very important for MSUN for its road map in China.
