Guided by the national plans and policies, YGL aims at introducing and integrating high-quality overseas education resources and facilitate the educational and cultural exchange between Chinese and overseas universities via education cooperation programs, so as to contribute its power in the process of modernization of Chinese education.
READ MORE ›Through the cooperation with colleges and universities in countries with developed and advanced vocational education, we comprehensively introduce the theoretical and practical courses, idea of applied talents cultivation, mechanism of industry-education integration, etc. Chinese and overseas institutions will mutually recognize credits, jointly cultivate talents with solid foundation of knowledge, practical ability and workplace competency who conform to the requirements of industry and society development. At the same time, through cooperative projects or other channel, YGL provides students with access to further education in overseas universities at bachelor and master level.
The program introduces the undergraduate courses and the regulatory system for the quality of teaching from the cooperated disciplines of overseas universities into domestic universities. Both universities jointly cultivate students within the program, mutually recognize courses and credits, collectively set teaching requirements and corporately assume teaching duties. When students complete study in China and meet admission requirements for overseas university, they can apply to continue their study at a foreign partner university for one year. Students passing all the exams can receive degree from both domestic and foreign universities. Alternatively students can also choose to continue study in domestic universities and obtain qualification from Chinese university.
The program fully introduces the master courses and the regulatory system for the quality of teaching from the cooperated disciplines of overseas universities into domestic universities. Both universities jointly cultivate students in the program, mutually recognize courses and credits, collectively set teaching requirements, and corporately assume teaching duties. Students who complete required courses and meet relevant graduation requirements will be awarded Master’s degree from Chinese and/or overseas university.
The pre-master’s program is designed for students who would like to go to the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and other countries to study for a master’s degree. Students will study 0.5-1 year of professional English and preparatory courses of their majors, before starting the formal study of the master's degree program, to comprehensively improve their language level, studying skills, research ability and understanding of subject knowledge, so as to lay a solid foundation for the formal study of the master-level courses. It is also a bridge course which wholly improves students' academic standards and comprehensive competence.
The summer school provides students with opportunity to spend a rich and colorful summer vacation around the world. Students entering the program can not only receive academic courses of top universities on weekdays, but also participate in a variety of cultural activities and excursions on weekends. The program can greatly broaden the international horizons of students, help them gain valuable experience in different education systems, so as to improve students' abilities of independent learning and self-caring.
The cooperation between domestic and overseas universities is conducted in specified majors with an agreement of Credits/Articulation recognition. Chinese students will firstly enter the program, and after studying at the domestic university for two to three years, they can choose to study at overseas university for one or two years. Students who pass all the exams can obtain a bachelor's degree from both Chinese and overseas universities and an undergraduate diploma from the university in China.
The short-term programs provide Chinese students with the opportunity to immerse, learn and experience the overseas university life and local culture. Students can study at local public or private universities, make new friends in exotic places and participate in different student society activities. Students can also rapidly advance their language proficiency with the influence of the immersive language environment. What’s more, students’ abilities of interdisciplinary academic innovation and intercultural academic communication can be enhanced as well.
The delegation of Jimei University recently visited Vladivostok with company of YGL, and had a meeting at the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy on November 17th. The delegation consists of the Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Vice Director of Academic Affairs, and deans of the School of Navigation, School of Marine Engineering and School of Ocean Information Engineering.

On September 29, 2023, Prof. Dionysios Mantzavinos, Vice Rector for Academic and International Affairs of the University of Patras, visited China with a delegation from Greece. They made a special visit to the executive center of the Chinese Research Institute of the University of Patras and was invited to the awarding ceremony.

From July 6 to 7, 2023, a delegation led by Mr. Fokion Zaimis, Deputy Governor of the Region of Western Greece, paid an official visit to Fuzhou, the capital of Southeast China’s Fujian Province. The Agreement was signed on the Establishment of a Friendship Relationship between the Region of Western Greece in the Hellenic Republic and Fujian Province in the People’s Republic of China. YGL accompanied the delegation and was invited to the ceremony to share the happiness.
