
On the 13th of February 2025, Shandong University Winter Camp in Greece came to a successful end, which was jointly organized by the Chinese Research Institute of the University of Patras (UP ) and Shandong University (SDU). This program provided students with a valuable opportunity to experience Greek culture and explore ancient civilizations. From the preparation of the program to its successful ending, the Chinese Research Institute of UP was committed to guiding the students in the preparation of the relevant documents and maintaining effective communication with both universities as well as provided supports in all details, in order to make the winter camp program a worthwhile experience for the students.


On November 27, 2024, the 78th installment of the "Global Vision Lecture" series was successfully hosted in the Duxue Lecture Hall of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS). Representatives from YGL accompanied Professor Kostas Gouliamos to the event. Professor Cui Weihang, Secretary of the UCASS Party Committee, and Jiang Fei, Vice-President of both the UCASS Party Committee and the university itself, extended a warm welcome.


From November 18th to 24th, 2024, YGL accompanied a delegation from Guangxi Normal University, led by President Sun Jieyuan and other relevant personnel, on a visit to Greece. The purpose of the visit was to expand substantive cooperation between Guangxi Normal University (GXNU) and high-level universities in Europe. The delegation received a warm welcome from the University of Ioannina, the Business Confucius Institute in Athens.


On November 10th, the opening ceremony of the 2024 International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and Application was held in Chongqing. Ma Zhen, the Vice Mayor of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He emphasized that the conference was significant in promoting the deep integration of domestic and foreign universities, research institutes and enterprises. Chongqing would take the successful holding of this conference as an opportunity to strengthen communication and cooperation with all sectors at home and abroad.


On November 1st, Prof. Wang Xiufan, Dean of International School, Jilin Communications Polytechnic (JLCP), paid an official visit to YGL. Director of the Cooperative Education Department, along with other relevant staff members greeted Professor Wang with enthusiasm.Based on the solid foundation of cooperation and following a consensus reached in July, both sides have been diligently working to advance the establishment of a joint institution and maintain continuous communication with foreign universities.


From October 16th to 25th, 2024, YGL’s CEO Edison and COO Luo Yinglu accompanied Mantzavinos Dionysios, the Vice Rector of Strategic Internationalization and Extroversion of the University of Patras to visit the Greek Embassy in China and other prestigious universities & educational institutions. Aiming to introduce high-quality educational resources, carry out international educational exchanges accurately and deepen practical cooperation between the universities from both sides, the visit is regarded as a model of Sino-Greek educational cooperation.


On October 21st to 23rd, 2024, YGL accompanied the delegation of Beihua University to visit Novosibirsk State Technical University in Russia. The delegation led by Yang Hongxiu, the Vice President of Beihua University and Wang Guang, the Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department at Beihua University, received a warm welcome from NSTU. Anatoliy Bataev, the President of NSTU, Vadim Nekrasov, the Director of International Affairs of NSTU and other academic leaders had in-depth exchanges with the leaders of Beihua University on establishing friendly cooperative relationships between the two universities.


On October 23, 2024, a delegation of government officials from Henan Province, China, under the coordinating of YGL, paid a visit to the "Center for Chinese Studies" jointly established by the European University Cyprus and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2023.


From October 14th to 16th, Professor ZHANG Dianfeng, the Secretary of the Party Committee of Jilin Agricultural University (JLAU) accompanied by YGL, led a delegation to visit the Lesvos Campus of the University of the Aegean.


On 30th Sept. 2024, Prof. Kostas Gouliamos attended the Chinese Government Friendship Award Ceremony for the 2024 Chinese Government Friendship Award at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing,State Councilor Chen Yiqin presented the award to the winning foreign experts and delivered a speech during the event.


From September 22nd to 29th, Prof. NI Zhiyu, President of HUE led a delegation on an official visit to Greece and Italy accompanied by YGL.In Greece, the delegation visited two universities: the University of Patras (UP) and Democritus University of Thrace. At UP, they had an official meeting with the Rector Christos I. Bouras, Vice-rectors Dionissios Mantzavinos and Ioannis A. Venetis, as well as faculty members from the School of Economics & Business Administration. Rector Bouras warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his wishes for promoting collaboration between the two universities.


On September 23, 2024, Prof. Yelena Yuryevna Bregina, Dean of the School of Linguistics, Mass Communication and Psychology and Prof. Yelena Gennadievna Basaraeva, Vice Dean of the same School of Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, Russia, visited YGL head office. YGL received the visiting foreign guests, and the two sides communicated about various potential cooperation opportunities in the future in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.


On August 2, 2024, facilitated by YGL, an online academic lecture on "3D Digital Visualization" was held by Berkeley College, US and Guilin University of Electronic Technology(GUET). Dr. Marianne Vakalis, Dean of School of Professional Studies and Division of General Education, the related academic professors and Members of Global Alliance of Berkeley College attended the seminar. Professor YE Dehui, Dean of School of Art and Design, and Head and the concerned academic professors of Digital Media Technology Department of GUET participated the activity. Over 100 students, majoring in Digital Media Technology of GUET, enjoyed this academic seminar.


On July 28, 2024, YGL received the visit of Nanchang Vocational University, including Prof. LI Haifeng, Dean of the School of Humanities, Mr. WEI Yuansong, Chief of the Academic Affairs Office and others Mr. SHEN Rong, CEO of YGL, and other related staff warmly welcomed the Dean and his team.


After the Rector’s Conference in Patras, representative from YGL visited University of Ioannina, in the beautiful city of Ioannina on July 22, 2024.The Rector warmly welcomed the delegation. University of Ioannina held a conference organized by the vice-rector of financial and vice-rector of international affairs. The deans and chairs of departments attended the meeting. Other representatives participated via online platform. In total over 20 participates had the discussion with YGL representatives.


On July 18-21, 2024, the 106th Hellenic University Rectors' Conference was taking place in University of Patras. Beijing Yinggeli Educational Technology Co., Ltd., as the strategic partner and China Office of University of Patras, is invited to participate in the conferences.


On Jul. 16, 2024, YGL delegation paid a special visit to its old friends Mr. Bougas Foutis and Mr. Nikos Stakias of IEK Orizon in Kalamata, Greece.


On Jul. 17, 2024, YGL delegation visited sparta campus, University of Peloponnese. YGL delegation had two meetings with Prof. George Sp. Kipreos, Dean of the Faculty of Human Movement and Quality of Life Science and Prof. Maria Tsironi, Chair of Faculty of Physiotherapy respectively.


On July 12, 2024, Efthalia Chatzigianni, the Vice Rector of Administration, International relations and Outreach of the University of Peloponnese, Associate Professor of the sports organization & management department, paid an official visit to Shandong Sport University. Zhang Dianbo, the Vice President of Shandong Sport University, and leaders from Graduate School, School of Sports and Health, School of Sports Management as well as Academic Affair Office warmly received the guest from afar and attended the meeting together to discuss the details of bilateral educational cooperation.


At 9am Beijing time on July 9, 2024, Guilin University of Electronic Technology and Berkeley College from the United States held a Zoom online conference to discuss international cooperation between the two universities and signed the MOU agreement on site. Presidents of both universities attended the meeting as the representatives.


Following the visit to the University of Wolverhampton in May 2024, YGL held the online meeting with the University on July 8th, 2024 to further explore the relevant cooperation opportunities between the two parties.


On June 19, 2024, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Rector of University of National and World Economy(UNWE), Bulgaria, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yanko Hristozov, Vice Rector for International Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Daniela Feschiyan, Head of Department Accountancy and Analysis, visited the head office of YGL. Mr. Liu Jiting, President of YGL, Mr. Shen Rong, CEO of YGL, and other related staff warmly received the Rector and his team.


On June 18, 2024, accompanied by the relevant project leaders of YGL, the Delegation from University of National World Economy(UNWE) visited Hebei University of Economics and Business(HUEB), conducted a two-day cooperative negotiation trip. The UNWE delegation was led by the Rector, Professor Dimitar Dimitrov, and Vice rector Professor Yanko Hristozov.


On June 18th, Maxine Micallef, Director of International Affairs Development at Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST), and Vice President of External Affairs at MCAST, and Director of YGL Cooperative Education Department and two others held a video conference on Teams. This meeting aimed to discuss specific issues related to cooperative education and answer questions from the foreign party regarding the cooperative proposal. After the discussion, both parties preferred to choose engineering as the area of cooperation and could start by focusing on one specific field.


On June 17th Vice president Prof. Andre Popolov and Prof. Maxim Saltekov, Dean, School of logistics management and law, Admiral Nevelskoy Maritime State University(Abbreviation as Nevelskoy MSU) paid an official visit to YGL. Mr. Shenrong , CEO of YGL and other related staff of YGL warmly received the Russian delegation.


During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, under the promotion and arrangement of YGL, Guilin University of Electronic Technology(GUET) and Berkeley College met in Beijing. Prof. Ye Dehui, Dean of the School of Art and Design,GUET, along with the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean meet with Prof. José A. Tavares, Vice President of Berkeley College, and Prof. Jim Li, Executive Director of Global Alliance, to discuss the potential cooperation opportunities between the two sides in the field of Sino-foreign cooperative education program.


On June 5, 2024, Jilin Agricultural University and University of the Aegean held a video conference to discuss international education cooperation. Yu Hansong, the Dean of the School of Food Science and Engineering, Jilin Agricultural University, and Professor Gkatzionis Konstantinos, the Head of Department of Food Science & Nutrition, University of Aegean, were the chair from both sides. Other staff for international cooperation affairs from both sides also attended the meeting.


From May 27th to May 30th, arranged and accompanied by YGL, the delegation of Hebei University of Economics and Business visited Bulgaria, to University of National and World Economy, University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy as well as other institution and organizations.


On 15th May 2024, YGL visited the University of Wolverhampton in the UK, and met with Dr. Robin Carey, Head of the Department of International Partnerships, to discuss about the educational partnership.


On 14th May 2024, the YGL delegation visited the University of Bolton, U.K. Mr. Paul Starkey, Executive Director of Strategy, Brand and Future Students, Mr. McNeilly Alan, Deputy Director of Strategy, Brand and Future Students and Mr. Hanslot Zubair, Professor of Engineering and Mathematics Department warmly received this visit of YGL.


On 13th May 2024 , the delegation from YGL visited the University of Chester, U.K. Mr. Jonathan Pritchard, Director of International Department of the University of Chester, and his other colleagues warmly welcomed YGL's visit.


From April 24 to 26, the Dean of IDEC, along with several EUC faculty representatives led a special visit to Xiamen. The Liasion from YGL also participated in this activity and actively coordinated the entire trip. The goal of this visit was to strengthen collaboration between universities and enterprises, expand graduates' employment, and further promote the high-quality development of the joint project.

On April 23, 2024, the Experts of the International Education Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Educational Development Strategy and Beijing Yinggeli Educational Technology Co., Ltd. (YGL) held a exchange meeting in Beijing to conduct in-depth communication on the internationalization of domestic universities.


On April 9, 2024, YGL promoted and coordinated an video conference between Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade (FUIST) & Berkeley College. On April 1, 2024, Director of International and Special Projects of Manuka Institute of Technology, New Zealand, Mr. Luka Crosbie, and International Marketing Manager , Mr. Kevin Lou, visited YGL. General Manager of Cooperative Education Department of YGL, Ms. Luo Yinglu and the related staff received the guests.


On March 11th, 2024, the online virtual meeting between YGL and Berkeley College was successfully held, around the topics of cooperation relationship establishment between two parties, meanwhile, facilitating the further collaboration of setting joint educational programs by YGL for Berkeley College. The Vice President, Professor Jose Tavares, and Executive Director, Dr. Jim H. Lee attended the meeting and discussed the concerned topics with YGL's related project leaders.


On March 7, 2024, Executive Director, Strategy, Brand and Future Students of the University of Bolton, Mr. Paul Starkey and Deputy Director, Strategy, Brand and Future Students of the University of Bolton, Mr. Alan McNeilly, visited the head office of YGL in Beijing. President of YGL, Mr. Liu Jiting, CEO, Mr. Shen Rong and General Manager of the Cooperative Education Department, Ms. Luo Yinglu held the meeting with the guests. Both sides had an in-depth discussion on potential cooperation opportunities in the future and analyzed the basis and matching points of the cooperation.


On February 28 2024, invited by YGL, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Ravensbourne University London, Professor Simon Robertshaw and Head of Strategic Recruitment Partnerships, Mr. Dan Janowski, attended the video conference to discuss cooperation in education, cultural exchanges, etc. between Chinese and overseas institutions with YGL. General Manager of Cooperative Education Department of YGL, Ms. Luo Yinglu and other related staff of YGL had a cordial and friendly exchanges with the representatives of Ravensbourne University London. With the video conference, the basic situation and demands of cooperation between Chinese and overseas institutions were introduced.


At the very beginning of the new year, YGL welcomed the first visit from the overseas university -- Novosibirsk State University(NSU), Russia. On the afternoon of January 10th, the Vice President of Foreign Affairs of NSU, Evgeny Ivanovich Sagaydak, together with the Principal of the Affiliated High School, Nekrasova Lyudmila Andreyevna, visited YGL and conducted cooperation and exchanges. YGL President, CEO, Manager of Cooperative Education Business Department and Heads of relevant departments met with the vice president and his delegation, and held discussions on promoting China-Russia cooperation in running schools and in-depth strategic cooperation.


On 28 December 2023, the 15th NetEase Education Ceremony "Golden Wings Award", hosted by NetEase News and NetEase Education, was successfully held in Beijing. This grand event themed "New Beginning·New Journey" gathered elites, scholars and industry leaders from the education industry, which aims to review the past, look into the future, consolidate the strength of all sectors, deepen the cooperation in the field of science and technology innovation, and promote the sustainable development of the education industry.


On December 15th, YGL’s President Liu Jiting and CEO SHEN Rong were invited to visit Professor Euripides Stylianidis in Athens, Greece. Professor Stylianidis warmly welcomed the two leaders of YGL at his residence and shared his latest works on the the Belt and Road. This article was included in the book "The the Belt and Road Initiative: Past, Present and Future" co authored by Professor Kostas Gouliamos and Professor Gao Xiang, the President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.


On the afternoon of December 15, with the coordination of YGL, Fujian Medical University and Novosibirsk State University held a video conference to discuss international education cooperation. Luo Ni, the Deputy Secretary and Director of Organization Department of Fujian Medical University, Li Shihong, the Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Zheng Min, the Vice President of the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Luo Daosu, the Vice President of the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences in Fujian Medical University and Professor Sagaydak, the Vice Rector of Foreign Affairs of Novosibirsk State University and the Director of the International Education Center "NICE", Professor Andre, the Director of the Institute of Medicine and Psychology, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Professor Vladimir, the Deputy Director of the Institute of Medicine and Psychology, attended the meeting.


On the evening of December 12, Fujian University of Technology and University of Patras held a video conference to discuss international education cooperation. Jiang Zhuwu, the Dean of the School of Ecological Environment and Urban Construction of Fujian University of Technology and relevant leaders together with Professor Katsaunis Alexandros, the Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering of the University of Patras and Professor Zacharias Frontistis attended the meeting.


On the afternoon of December 1st, Guilin University of Technology and Technical University of Crete held a video conference to discuss international educational cooperation. On November 30 2023, at the invitation of Ambassador of Cyprus to China, H.E. Mrs. Martha A. Mavrommatis, delegation of YGL, among many other Chinese and foreign guests attended the 63rd anniversary of the Independence of Cyprus in Hilton Beijing. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Deng Li cut the cake with Ambassador Martha. All guests raised glasses to celebrate this wonderful moment.


From November 24 to 26, 2023, the three-day reception of "Bath Spa University Institution Partnership Conference, China 2023" was held in Sanya, Hainan. As an important partner of the university, YGL CEO, Mr. Shen Rong was invited and attended the event. Bath Spa University Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor, Head of International Recruitment and Partnerships, and Deans of academic faculties attended the conference and exchanged and interacted with the participating partners.


The delegation of Jimei University recently visited Vladivostok with company of YGL, and had a meeting at the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy on November 17th. The delegation consists of the Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Vice Director of Academic Affairs, and deans of the School of Navigation, School of Marine Engineering and School of Ocean Information Engineering.


Recently, the grand opening of the 2023 'Silk Road' Educational Cooperation and Exchange Conference which was sponsored by the People's Government of Shaanxi Province and hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Education Department was held in the city of Xi'an. Mr. Wang Xiao, a Standing Committee member of Shaanxi Province and the Executive Vice Governor of the Provincial People's Government, Mr. Zhang Xiaodong, the Level II Bureau Rank Official of the International Department of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Medetbek Bukuev, the advisor to the President of Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Liu Kai, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Government and other leaders and guests attended the opening ceremony. Mr. Wang Xiaolong, the Chinese Ambassador to New Zealand and Mr. Xia Zehan, the Representative of UNESCO in China, delivered video messages.


On November 13, 2023, SAGAYDAK EVGENY, the Vice President of Novosibirsk State University, Savchenko, the deputy director of the International Education Center of Novosibirsk University and Kolchanov, the deputy dean of the School of Physics and Mathematics of Novosibirsk State University came to Chongqing to discuss international education cooperation. The delegation of Novosibirsk State University went to Chongqing University and Chongqing Education Commission respectively and the two sides had in-depth discussions on cooperation in running schools and educational exchanges.


On November 12, 2023, YGL accompanied SAGAYDAK EVGENY, Vice President of Novosibirsk State University, Russia, and his delegation to Fujian Medical University to visit and exchange ideas for potential cooperation. During the meeting, FEIFEI SHE, Vice President of Fujian Medical University, warmly welcomed the delegation of YGL as well as Novosibirsk State University and gave a detailed introduction of the university's history, philosophy, characteristics and subject advantages, etc. Then SAGAYDAK EVGENY, Vice Rector of Novosibirsk State University, thanked Fujian Medical University for the warm welcome and expressed his expectation for the establishment of friendship and cooperation between the two universities. SAGAYDAK EVGENY introduced the history of Novosibirsk State University, its characteristics, the achievements in education and scientific research as well as the development status.


On Nov. 9th, 2023, the first virtual meeting between University of Teramo(UNITE), Italy and YGL International Education was successfully held. The two parties was discussing around the topics of joint cultivation in undergraduate and postgraduate levels, possibility of joint education programs and further comprehensive cooperation opportunities. The Delegate of the Rector for International Affairs, Prof. Paola Pittia attended the meeting and shared her thoughts and concerns with YGL's related project leaders.


On Nov. 7th, 2023, the first virtual communication meeting between University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG) and YGL International Education was held online via Zoom meeting. The participants included the Vice-Rector for European Integration and International Relations and the Head of Centre for International Relations and Mobility from UACEG, the Director of International Department and the Marketing Manager from YGL. The relevant project members of YGL also attended the meeting.


Nov. 3, 2023 — YGL today successfully held a meeting between the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) and Hebei University of Economics and Business (HUEB). Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova-Boshnakova, Vice-Rector for Educational Activity and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yanko Hristozov,Secretary General for International Affairs attended the meeting. Representing HUEB is Professor Liwei Shang, Director of International Exchange Center. Other participants are the representatives of the secondary colleagues from both universities.


On the afternoon of October 31, 2023, Professor Kostas Gouliamos, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Royal Society of Arts, and former Rector of European University Cyprus, was invited to make a lecture themed"Mutual Learning and Exchanges among Civilizations through Art and Aesthetics" by the School of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, and had a dialogue with the professors and scholars from relevant areas in Tsinghua University.


After a month of preparation and coordination under YGL’ effort, on October 24, 2023, a team of external committee organized by C.Y.Q.A.A (Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation) successfully visited Minjiang University to have a thorough assessment to the teaching quality of the on-going programs provided in International Digital Economy College (IDEC), Minjiang University. Representatives from European University Cyprus, the foreign cooperative university, also traveled to China for this purpose. Taking this opportunity, both universties also engaged in extensive discussions and exchanged views on various matters and issues related to the operation of the project since establishment during this visit. The objective of these discussions was to provide feasible solutions for ensuring the sustainable and robust functioning of the project in the future.


In order to implement the "Opinions on the Work of the Opening-up of Education in the New Era" issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, the "Education Action Plan for Jointly Building the Belt and Road Initiative" issued by the Ministry of Education and the "Opinions on Accelerating and Expanding the Opening-up of Education in the New Era" issued by eight ministries, the Training Center of China Vocational Education Association hosted the Seminar themed as "Internationalization of Vocational Education" in Beijing on October 20, 2023, promoting the international communication and cooperation of Chinese vocational education and the integration of vocational education into the "Belt and Road Initiative". Nine vocational colleges from Guangdong, Shannxi, Hebei, Guizhou, etc. discussed about "How should the vocational colleges conduct their international construction?" in this seminar.


On the morning of October 18th, Professor David McGravie, Vice President and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences of Chester, and a delegation of five visited Xi'an University of Finance and Economics (XUFE). Yang Tao, Party Secretary of XUFE, meets with the delegations from University of Chester in the VIP reception room and extended a warm welcome to the delegation. The University Leaders of Xi'an University of Finance and Economics, and Heads of Office of International Cooperation & Exchange and Relevant Secondary Schools, as well as the delegations from the University of Chester (Uoc), had a discussion and exchange in the conference room of the administrative building.


On October 17, 2023, the CEO of YGL, Shen Rong visited University of National and World Economy in Bulgaria and met with Professor Dimitar Dimitrov, Secretary General of the Bulgarian Council of Presidents and President of University of National and World Economy. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on YGL and top universities in Bulgaria in terms of joint education, joint research, academic journals, and joint construction of international academic conferences, and reached multiple consensus. University of National and World Economy has a history of friendly exchanges with Chinese universities and has a strong foundation of cooperation. YGL will assist UNWE in seeking suitable Chinese partners to further expand such partnership.


On October 8-16, a delegation from Shaanxi Technical College of Finance and Economics visited Kalamata, Greece with company of YGL. The delegation is led by Professor CHENG Shuqiang, the President of Shaanxi Technical College of Finance and Economics. Shaanxi Technical College of Finance and Economics has jointly established the Qinling Workshop with IEK Orizon with the help of YGL. The cooperation started from 2021, and this is the first visit to Greece of the Chinese party after the pandemic. For this visit the delegation aims at further strengthening the partnership with IEK Orizon, and discuss on more details of talents cultivation. Located in Xi’an, the sister city with Kalamata, the Shaanxi College delegation also wants to build more connection with the government and industrial partners at Kalamata.


Recently, Capital University of Physical Education And Sports cooperate with Yinggeli and launched a short-term training program in Greece for internal students. The project aims to provide students with professional and efficient sports training and promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Greece in the field of sports. The training program will be presented to all departments of the Capital University of Physical Education And Sports.


On October 11, 2023, the YGL delegation, under the accompany from Professor Dionysios Mantzavinos, Vice rector of the University of Patras, visited Technical University of Crete and held a meeting with the rector of the university, Professor Michael Zervakis. This is the third time YGL delegation visited the university. The two vice rectors in charge, along with the relevant department heads, attended the meeting.


On October 9, 2023, the YGL delegation landed in Athens and starts the visit in Greece. For the first stop, the CEO of YGL, Mr. Shen Rong and his delegation held a meeting with the leaders of University of the Aegean and multiple professors at the Athens office. In order to meet with YGL, Prof. Kapros Seraphim, Head of the Department of Shipping Trade and Transport, Prof. Konstantelou Anastasia , Head of the Department of Financial and Management Engineering and Prof. Karyda Maria , Head of the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering, gathered in the Athens office to warmly welcome YGL's delegation. At the same time, Professor Efstratios Georgoulas, the Vice Rector of Internationalization also attended the meeting online.


On September 29, 2023, Prof. Dionysios Mantzavinos, Vice Rector for Academic and International Affairs of the University of Patras, visited China with a delegation from Greece. They made a special visit to the executive center of the Chinese Research Institute of the University of Patras and was invited to the awarding ceremony.


On September 28, 2023, Prof. Dionysios Mantzavinos, Vice Rector for Academic and International Affairs of the University of Patras, and Prof. Alexandros Katsaounis, Director of the Department of Chemical Engineering visited Liaoning University of Technology and attended the opening ceremony of the new students who are the first batch admitted into the China-Greece cooperative undergraduate program of Chemical Engineering jointly organized by LNUT and UP. Prof. Wang Qi, president of Liaoning University of Technology, together with the head of its International Department and the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering accorded a hearty welcome to the visitors from the University of Patras.


On the afternoon of September 27, 2023, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of China invited the Vice Rector of the University of Patras - Prof. Dionysios Mantzavinos, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering - Prof. Alexandros Katsaounis, and their delegation and held a tripartite meeting with Chinese Testing International Co., Ltd. and Nankai University.


On September 27, 2023, Prof. Dionysios Mantzavinos, Vice Rector of the University of Patras, and his delegation made a special trip to the Embassy of Greece in China and met with Mr. Evgenios Kalpyris, Ambassador of Greece to China. Prof. Mantzavinos expresses his gratitude to the Ambassador for their support and assistance to the University of Patras in the process of cooperation with Chinese universities. He also presented his heartfelt respect for their great contributions to Greece-China educational and people-to-people exchanges.


On September 26, 2023, the Vice Rector of the University of Patras (UP) - Prof. Dionysios Mantzavinos, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering - Prof. Alexandros Katsaounis were invited to visit Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) and were warmly received by Prof. Tan Tianwei, President of BUCT. Subsequently, Prof. Mantzavinos and Prof. Katsaounis made academic reports at the School of Life Science and Technology.


To further implement the notice of the Midterm Performance Evaluation of the Double High-levels Plan launched by the General Office of the Ministry of Education and of the Ministry of Finance, Beijing Yinggeli Education Technology Co., Ltd., China (YGL) and Chinese Testing, Inspection and Certification Education Association (TIC) signed a strategic framework agreement, which focuses on the true empowerment on vocational colleges through finding the better ways to provide domestic vocational colleges with high-quality overseas curriculum. Liu Jiting, President of YGL and Zhou Zhenghuo, Deputy Secretary-General of TIC signed this agreement on September 15, 2023.


A warm welcome was given by Professor Bobylo Andrey Mikhailovich, the vice prisident of foreign affairs, who had a in depth meeting with YGL. On the meeting there were also the director of the international collaboration department, and teaching affairs department, and deans of collaborative schools. Both sides discussed about the potential collaboration with Chinese universities on joint education, joint research, exchange of faculty and students, etc.. At end of the meeting, an agreement was reached that YGL shall be the representative and consultant of MSUN for inter-institutional collaboration in China, and provide all-rounded collaboration opportunities to MSUN.


A group of Chinese university students recently embarked on a cultural study tour in Italy during the summer. The study tour, organized by YGL and his partners in Italy, aimed to provide students with an exclusive opportunity to learn about Italian culture and art, as well as to explore the possibility of studying abroad in Italy.


On July 9, 2023, Prof. Dr. Kostas Gouliamos, former Rector of the European University Cyprus (EUC), visited the Shaanxi Technical College of Finance and Economics. Dr. Kostas Gouliamos was accompanied by YGL, the China Office of the European University Cyprus, and was warmly received by President Cheng Shuqiang and other school leaders of the college.


On the afternoon of July 7, Prof. Kostas Gouliamous, former Rector of the European University Cyprus, visited Xi’an University of Finance and Economics for a symposium, organized and accompanied by YGL. Mr. Fang Ming, President of XUFE, as well as the heads of the School of Economics, the School of Public Administration, China (Xi'an) Institute for Silk Road Research, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, and leaders from other departments attended the meeting.


From July 6 to 7, 2023, a delegation led by Mr. Fokion Zaimis, Deputy Governor of the Region of Western Greece, paid an official visit to Fuzhou, the capital of Southeast China’s Fujian Province. The Agreement was signed on the Establishment of a Friendship Relationship between the Region of Western Greece in the Hellenic Republic and Fujian Province in the People’s Republic of China. YGL accompanied the delegation and was invited to the ceremony to share the happiness.


In July 2023, the International Conference on China and the World: Towards Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Li Shulei, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech. Prof. Kostas Gouliamous, member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, member of the Royal Society of Arts, former Senior Advisor to the Presidents of Greece and Cyprus, and former Rector of the European University Cyprus, was invited to attend the conference and deliver a keynote speech. Minister Li also received Prof. Kostas Gouliamous before the meeting and expressed his recognition and gratitude for his great contribution to the continuous promotion of humanistic exchanges between China and Europe.


Prof. Alessandro Montel, President of Siracusa Academy of Fine Arts and Design (SAFAD) and CEO of PLENA Education,and Mr Andrea Tosi, Director of the International Department of PLENA Education, visited Fuzhou from June 29 to 30, 2023, accompanied by YGL. PLENA Education is a prestigious art education group in Italy, which owns a number of art and design colleges and music colleges, such as Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA), Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD), Siracusa Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Saint Louis Music School, etc. The campuses are located in major Italian cities such as Milan, Rome, Siracusa, Bologna, and Brescia. Among them, Siracusa Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Sicily, with the assistance of YGL, has successfully operated the Sino-foreign Cooperative Education Program together with Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade since 2022, with the approval of China’s Ministry of Education. This year is the second year of the program's operation.


On June 26th, Mahanakorn University of Technology (MUT) visited YGL's headquarters in Beijing for an important meeting and designation of MUT China Office at YGL. Key representatives from both organizations, including MUT's President Panavy Pookaiyaudom and Vice President Vissanu Meeyou, as well as YGL's CEO Shen Rong, International Department Director Luo Yinglu and Partnership Manager Liu Yanchi were present at the meeting. The meeting starts with both parties exchanging recent development and achievement in international education, and exchange of potential emerging opportunities. MUT shared about the most recent collaboration with Tsinghua University, and with industrial partners in satellite design.


YGL visited University of the Aegean in Mytilene, capital of Lesbos, Greece this summer, as a response to the kind invitation from Prof. Chryssi Vitsilaki, Rector of the University. The two sides exchanged their ideas on a variety of topics, ranging from the comprehensive cooperation between University of the Aegean and Chinese universities, to the university’s influence over China, and the mutual learning of Chinese and Hellenic ancient civilizations. Dr. Dimitrios Papageorgiou, Vice Rector of the university, and other school leaders and instructors also joined the meeting.


YGL delegation paid an official revisit to Technical University of Crete in Chania, the second largest city in Crete, Greece in June, 2023, thanks to friendly, long-term cooperation between two sides previously. This meeting successfully forged a comprehensive and strategic relationship between YGL and the university, where both sides can seek cooperation in building joint institutes, pursuing joint scientific research, facilitating student exchanges, and promoting Chinese language and culture at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The leaders of Technical University of Crete showed great enthusiasm in all kinds of cooperation with Chinese universities.


YGL was invited by Study in Greece (SiG) to pay a visit and meet with Prof. Christos Michalakelis, President of SIG, to exchange thoughts on the comprehensive and strategic cooperation between two sides. During the meeting, Mr. Shen Rong, CEO of YGL, and Prof. Christos Michalakelis had an in-depth discussion on the framework and pattern of Sino-Greek cooperation on higher education. They agreed to the establishment of the Sino-Greek joint cultivation pattern for postgraduates, Sino-Greek joint high-level scientific research platforms among universities, together with the building of overseas students and talents exchange mechanisms. Hopefully, the cooperation to be carried out will bring more value to the Center of Chinese and Greek Ancient Civilizations, which is a top-level institute for mutual learning inaugurated in Athens in March, 2023.


On May 16th, 2023, Longyan University and Democritus University of Thrace formally met via a Zoom meeting to further discuss on cooperation based on the previous negotiation. Professor Fotis Maris, the Rector of DUTH, and Professor Zou Weidong, the president of Longyan University both attended the meeting. Directors of Academic Affairs and International Cooperation and deans and professors of secondary colleges and faculties from both sides all participated in the meeting. Relevant project members of YGL moderated and interpreted for the meeting.


On May 9th, 2023, the second virtual meeting between Seattle University and YGL International Education was successfully held, around the topics of joint cultivation in undergraduate and postgraduate levels, possibility of joint education programs and further comprehensive cooperation opportunities. The Associate Director, Graduate & International Programs, Mr. Nick Greenlee attended the meeting and discussed the concerned topics with YGL’s related project leaders.


On April 27, Greek Ambassador to China Evgenios Kalpyris and his delegation, who were attending the 6th Digital China Construction Summit in Fujian, visited Fujian University of Technology accompanied by YGL, and had a discussion with Tong Xin, president of Fujian University of Technology on the establishment of the first China-Greece Joint Institute. Luo, Guansheng, member of the Leading Party Group of the Office and full-time Vice president of the Association for Friends with Foreign Countries, and YGL accompanied the ambassador.


In the spring of 2023, after lots of online communication, YGL delegation traveled to Crete, Greece, visiting two prestigious universities on the island, the University of Crete and the Technical University of Crete. Crete, the largest Greek island, is located in the middle of the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and is an ancient cultural center. It is also the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Crete entered the Bronze Age as early as 2800 BC. It is the birthplace of the ancient Aegean civilization and the home to Minoan civilization described in Homer's epics. The beautiful island of Crete is known as the "garden of the sea." It is also a famous tourist attraction in the Mediterranean region.


After the lock-down of almost 3 years due to the COVID-19, in spring 2023, YGL sets off to Europe to make off-line visits to the partners, with which the communication has been restricted online during the epidemic. Italy was the first stop. YGL has established partnership with PLENA Education in Italy from long time ago, and was invited to visit the main institution and academies under the group through Rome, Milan and Siracusa.


On March 10, 2023, Mr. Liu Jiting, President of YGL, and Mr. Shen Rong, CEO of YGL, visited Democritus University of Thrace accompanied by Mr. Stylianidis, former Minister of Education, and current Member of the Hellenic Parliament and Chair of the Higher Education Reform Committee.


On March 8, 2023, LIU Jiting, the President of YGL, and SHEN Rong, the CEO of YGL, visited University of Patras in Greece. Over the past three years, YGL and University of Patras have maintained a successful partnership. During their meeting, both sides agreed to start a comprehensive strategic cooperation mode.


On March 7, 2023, YGL’s President, LIU Jiting, and CEO, SHEN Rong, visited Patras, the capital of Region of West Greece and the third-largest city in Greece. Mr. Zaimis, Deputy Governor of the Region of West Greece, warmly welcomed the YGL delegation at the government building. This was the first time that YGL and Mr. Zaimis met in person since the intergovernmental meeting between Fujian Province, China, and RWG last year.


On March 6, 2023, YGL President LIU Jiting and CEO SHEN Rong visited the Messinia Chamber of Commerce & Industry, University of Peloponnese and Orizon Vocational Training Institute to explore opportunities for collaboration in the field of smart agriculture, the promotion of Chinese Bridge and the establishment of a two-way internship and training platform for Chinese and Greek students. Relying on the Messinia Chamber of Commerce & Industry, one of the oldest and largest chambers of commerce in Europe, China and Greece will establish a brand-new platform that integrats enterprises and education to diversify industries and boost employment in both places.


On March 3, 2023, YGL President LIU Jiting and CEO SHEN Rong, arrived in Kalamata, the capital of ancient Greek Mycenaean civilization. They were accompanied by Professor Kostas Gouliamos, former Rector of the European University Cyprus, and member of the European Academy of Science and Art.


Professor Mantzavinos, the Center’s board member and Vice Rector of the University of Patras in Greece, also an important partner of YGL, introduced to Sun Chunlan the cooperation programme between the University of Patras and Fujian University of Technology.


On Jan. 11th, 2023, under YGL’s coordination, the first cooperative meeting between Sault College, Canada and Hebei Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Technology was held online via Tencent meeting.


On November 1st, under YGL's coordination, Minjiang University and European University Cyprus held a meeting centering around the topic of measures against the current epidemic situation and quality of online teaching online. The participants include Professor Loizos Symeou, Vice Academic Dean of IDEC, Professor Kostas Gouliamos, Deputy Chair of Joint Management Committee, and Ms. Maria Koliandri, the HR Manager from EUC. Attendance from Minjiang University are and Professor LIN Zhongyan, Dean of IDEC and Mr. ZHENG Jian, Director of International Affairs of Minjiang University, and other colleagues at IDEC. The relevant representatives from YGL hosted and interpreted for the meeting.


On October 28th, under YGL's coordination, the first joint management committee conference of Shanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics Qinling Workshop was held online via Zoom meeting. The participants include Mr. Fotis BOUGAS, the president of IEK Orizon, Prof. Kostas GOULIAMOS, the fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Nikos STAKIAS, the director of International Relation of Orizon, Prof. CHENG Shuqiang, the president of Shanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics, Prof. WANG Yong, the vice president of STCFE, and other faculty directors from both sides. The relevant project leaders and members of YGL attended and hosted the conference.


On October 13th, 2022, under the coordination and arrangement of YGL, the first online virtual meeting between University of Tennessee and Sichuan Agricultural University was successfully held, around the topics of joint talent cultivation cooperation. The Deans, Vice Deans, Professors and Directors of concerned faculties and departments of the two universities attended the meeting. YGL hosted the meeting.


On September 5th, 2022, under YGL's coordination, the first meeting between University of Aberdeen and Fujian Medical University was successfully held online, centering around the topic of conducting the joint training cooperation in master programs. The Directors, Deputy Directors and Professors of the concerned institutes and schools attended the meeting. The relevant project leaders of YGL attended and hosted the meeting.


On September 27th, 2022, YGL witnessed the signing of cooperation agreement between China's Fujian Polytechnic Normal University and Bangkok Thonburi University, Thailand. Under YGL's substantial assistance and coordination, both universities have built the partnership and finally held a virtual signing ceremony, where, Mr. Liao Shenji, president of Fujian Polytechnic Normal, and Ms. Bangorn Benjathikul, president of Bangkok Thonburi University were present. Also present at the signing ceremony were the Dean of related schools and heads of both Departments of International Affairs.


On September 13, 2022, the opening ceremony for fashion design programme between Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade (FUIST) and Siracusa Academy of Fine Arts and Design (SAFAD) was successfully held online. Xu Ming, president of FUIST, Elisabetta Galasso, president and Alessandro Montel, Dean of SAFAD, and representatives and colleagues from both side participated in the meeting.


On July 6th, 2022, with the coordinating of YGL, the meeting between Liaoning University of Technology and Novosibirsk State Technical University was successfully held online. This meeting was honored to invite the leaders of both universities including Prof. Qi Wang, president of Liaoning University of Technology, Prof. Yanjun Liu, vice president;Anatoliy Bataev, president of NSTU, and Vadim Nekrasov, vice president of foreign affairs.


On June, 29th, the online meeting between Shaanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics and Vocational Training Institutes “Orizon” (IEK Orizon) came to a successful ending. The meeting focused on the implementation plan of IEK Orizon and STCFE to jointly establish an overseas campus of STCFE in Kalamata, Greece. It is one of the important substantial cooperation project between Xi’an and Kalamata, since the twinning of the two cities in 2009, therefore is greatly valued and supported by local government of both sides.


On Jun. 23, 2022, the meeting between School of Journalism and Communication, Minjiang University and Academic of Arts, University of Novi Sad was successfully held online, with YGL as moderator. The participants include Prof. Liu Jianping, Dean of the Minjiang University School of Journalism and Communication, Vice Dean Prof. Dai Cheng, and Prof. Sinisa Bokan, Dean of the Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad and Vice Dean Prof. Dubravka Lazic, as well as other academic staff. Representatives of YGL and Tian Zhen, President of Association for Educational Exchange between China and Serbia attended the conference.


The opening ceremony of the 2022 Fuzhou International Friendship Cities Cultural Festival was successfully held on June 21. Vice Mayor of Fuzhou Municipal People's Government Huang Jianxiong, joined by representatives from 20 foreign cities and regions attended the ceremony.


On June, 10th, with the facilitation of YGL, Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade met with The Academy of Fine Arts, Siracusa online to discuss the development of joint programme.


On May 11th, 2022, the Europe-China (Fujian) Virtual Conference on Education Cooperation was held in Fuzhou and online. The conference was organized by Fujian Foreign Affairs Office, and supported by Fujian Provincial Department of Education.


On April 8, with active coordination and facilitating by YGL and its partner University of Patras, the video exchange meeting between Fujian Province and Region of Western Greece was successfully held. Many personages attended and addressed at the meeting, including Guo Ningning, Member of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor, and Mr Fokion Zaimis, Deputy Governor of Region of Western Greece, attended the meeting.


On the morning of 1st, April, under the consistent effort by YGL, a special signing ceremony was held online, where Longyan University and Quest International University settled their relationship by inking the bilateral cooperation agreement. Prof. Zou Weidong, President of Longyan University and Prof. Zita Mohd Fahmi, vice Chancellor of Quest International University attended the ceremony, and also present were deans and directors of related faculty and offices of both universities.


On the afternoon of 17, March, Dr. Cheng Shuqiang, president of Shaanxi Technical College of Finance & Economics, met online with Prof. Kostas Gouliamos, former rector of European University Cyprus. Both sides had a friendly conversation and then Dr. Cheng Shuqiang issued an appointment letter of visiting professor to Prof. Kostas. Staff of other colleges and departments, representatives of EUC China offices were also at present.


On Mar. 14, 2022, the 1st meeting between the Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad, Serbia and Sichuan Fine Arts Institute was successfully held online, with YGL as moderator. The participants include Prof. Sinisa Bokan, Dean of the Academy of Arts, and Prof. Dubravka Lazic, Vice Dean of the Academy, Prof. Zeng Yue, Director of International Office, dean and vice dean of the Film-Video-Animation School at SCFAI, among others. Representatives discussed possible ways of cooperation in the near future, including inviting students to join art competitions in China and Serbia, online art lectures, etc.


In the first week of March, YGL paid a visit to the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs and met with the President of CPIFA, Mr WANG Chao, who is former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and former Deputy Minister of Commerce of China. President Wang warmly received the delegation and guided them for a joyful tour throughout the CPIFA. During the visit, YGL reported to President Wang about recent work conducted on facilitating inter-institutional cooperation, and the contribution made to friendly relationship between cities and regions, joint research, humanity and cultural exchange, which are conducted based on the foundation of education cooperation. President Wang spoke highly of the trials by YGL, the efforts being delivered and achievements made in this phase. It was mentioned in the meeting that, non-governmental exchanges are also playing an important role in the understanding and communication between different cultures around the world.


On March 3rd, 2022, The China-Cyprus Digital Economy Summit Forum with the theme of “The Digital Transformation: Connecting Best Practices of Minjiang University & European University Cyprus. Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of Cyprus, Chinese ambassador to Cyprus and scholars and experts from both sides participated in the event.


On Jan. 7th, 2022, YGL witnessed the formal cooperation relationship established between China's Longyan University and Quest International University, Malaysia. Longyan University is a full-time public undergraduate universities in the Fujian Province, offering over 40 majors across eight fields of study. Under YGL's assistance, both universities met each other online and held a virtual signing ceremony, where, Mr. Zou Weidong, vice president of Longyan University, and Mr Nicholas Goh, Chief Operating Officer of Quest International University were present. Also present at the signing ceremony were the Dean of related colleges, heads of both International Affairs.


On January 2nd 2022, the European University Cyprus China Office and Beijing Yinggeli (YGL) Education Technology Co., Ltd. donated 20,000 disposable medical surgical masks, 20 cartons (240 cups) of instant noodles, with a total value of 10,000 CNY. Zhu Huabin, deputy secretary of the party committee, and Lei Xu, deputy dean, accepted the donation on behalf of the university, and sincerely thanked YGL for this selfless and supportive act. Their heart-warming deeds embodied humanistic care, and demonstrated social responsibility with practical actions.


On December 2nd, following the telephone communication between the leaders of the two states, Minjiang University and European University Cyprus held a video conference, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations between China and Cyprus. Rector A. Efstathiou, fmr. Rector K. Gouliamos and other two vice rectors from European University Cyprus attended the conference. President WANG Zonghua, Vice President Professor Fu Gaosheng and other leaders and faculties from Minjiang University also attended. The meeting was hosted by Dean LIN Zhongyan of International Digital Economy College (IDEC). Ms Simona Luo from YGL,performing as EUC China Officer, gladly attended as the mediator of this conference.


On November 18th, the "3rd 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road Vocational Education Cooperation Forum & Southeast Asia Hakka Culture and the Belt and Road International Youth Academic Forum", jointly sponsored by the Fujian Provincial Education Department, the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road Vocational Education Alliance, and Sanming University, and supported by Foreign Affairs Office of Fujian Province and Sanming Municipal People’s Government, was successfully held in Sanming University. The conference witnessed nearly 200 online and offline attendees including representatives from universities, educational institutions, multinational or foreign companies and other units from different countries and regions such as China, Russia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea and others, experts in the field of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, and scholars focusing on Southeast Asia and related topics of the “Belt and Road”.


October 21, 2021, the Launching Event Advisory Committee for the Greek and Chinese Cooperation in Higher Education was held in Beijing and Athens simultaneously. On the event, Dr. WANG Yongli, Vice President and Secretary General of CEAIE (China Education Association for International Exchange) and Dr. Apostolis DIMITROPOULOS, Secretary General for Higher Education, Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affair, signed and announced the Joint Statement on the Establishment of Advisory Committee for the Greek and Chinese Cooperation in Higher Education.


On October 13th 2021, YGL’s formal delegates paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Antonis Toumazis, the Ambassador of Cyprus to China, and presented him with a traditional Chinese handcraft gift: the Wheat-Straw Painting,crafted by national arts-and-crafts master and the inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, Master HE Xingwen. The meeting is conducive to strengthening cultural exchanges between China and Cyprus, promoting the friendly bonds between cities and regions in the two countries, and building a platform for friendly exchanges in education and culture between China and foreign countries. Both parties talked especially on the initiation of establishing the first Luban workshop in Cyprus, which will facilitate the integration of academic study and industrial production, demonstrating the spirit of craftsmanship of China. May the Luban Workshop be popularized in the world through the Belt and Road Initiative!


On September 20th, 2021. Dr. WANG Shizhao, YGL’s representative in Thailand, visited H.E. Mr. Korn Dabbaransi, Chairman of the Sino-Thai Friendship Association and former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand. Dr. WANG reported to Mr. Korn Dabbaransi about the efforts and practice YGL takes to promote the exchanges between Chinese and Thai universities, winning his endorsement and support. Mr. Korn Dabbaransi shared his view of Sino-Thai Education Cooperation under the China-ASEAN "10+1" framework and how it will further serve the construction of "Belt and Road". After the meeting, both sides wrote an inscription together as a souvenir.

On September 12, 2021, the opening ceremony of the International Digital Economy College was successfully held in Minjiang University. The Cyprus Ambassador to China, H.E. Antonis Toumazis, and the Chinese Ambassador to Cyprus, H.E. Liu Yantao attended the opening ceremony via Internet and delivered speech. Besides, the principals of Minjiang University and European University Cpyrus, the related program leaders and colleges directors, as well as the faculty and freshmen representatives of the International Digital Economy College attended the ceremony. Mr. Liu Jiting, special advisor to the president of the European University Cyprus, attended and co-chaired the ceremony with Lin Zhongyan, Dean of the International Digital Economy College.


On September 3, 2021, the first teaching conference of International Digital Economy College (IDEC), Minjiang University was held online. Around 40 school authorities, teachers and technicians from Minjiang University and European University Cyprus participated in this online conference. At the meeting, detailed and in-depth communication on teaching arrangements, teaching materials standards, quality monitoring, and teacher-student communication mechanisms were conducted. All staff are fully committed to ensure that the freshmen are welcomed into the college in the best condition. IDEC strives to build a benchmark for Sino-foreign Joint Institutions.


On Aug. 11th, 2021, thanks to the continuous effort of YGL, Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade met with the "Rosario Gagliardi" Academy of Fine Arts, Syracuse online and held agreement signing ceremony on Sino-foreign cooperative educational program.The cooperation relationship was built based on the friendly exchanges conducted over the past few months, and the signing ceremony marked a new starting point where the cooperation of two schools stepped into practical stage.


On the afternoon of May 12th, the 2021 Silk Road Education Cooperation and Exchange Conference opened in Xi'an. At the invitation of YGL, Apostolis Dimitropoulos, Secretary- General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Religion of Greece, delivered a video speech at the opening ceremony. The conference, with the theme of "Mutual Learning of Civilizations, Exchange and Sharing", is one of the core activities of the 5th Silk Road International Expo. More than 200 guests from home and abroad attended the opening ceremony.


On the afternoon of July 20th, 2021, with the active coordination of YGL, Longyan University held a cooperation promotion meeting with Thailand's Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University to discuss the start-up for the application of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools. It is hoped that both sides can join hands in applying for Sino-foreign cooperative education so as to improve international education level and cultivate applied talents with a broader international perspective. Participants also conducted in-depth discussions on the application of Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions.


On May.18th, 2021, with the active coordination of YGL, Hebei Normal University held an online meeting with Universidad Catolica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM). The meeting deepens the mutual understanding of the two parties, and the exchange of international development ideas. Later the two sides conducted an in-depth discussion and reached an agreement on strengthening people-to-people exchange and pushing forward the Sino-foreign educational cooperation.


On May 20th, 2021, the "International Digital Economy College, Minjiang University", a non-independent legal person Sino-foreign joint-teaching college organized by Minjiang University and European University of Cyprus, was officially approved by the Ministry of Education, China. This institution is the first undergraduate-level Sino-foreign joint-teaching college received approval for MJU. The college is of significance in building a system of training professional talents with an global perspective, strengthening the cultivation level of applied talents, enhancing discipline construction, and helping high-level applied university construction. Since the year of 2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cyprus and China, this institution will add further luster to the two countries’ celebration activities of 50th anniversary.


On April 19th, 2021, YGL, on behalf of European University Cyprus, attended the inauguration ceremony of ASEAN-China Sports Culture Development Alliance and Maritime Silk Road Art Education Alliance jointly initiated by Hainan University and ASEAN-China Center. As a member of the Alliance, it is dedicated to talents cultivation and related exchange and cooperation in sports and art education between China and countries along the "Belt and Road".


On March 17th, 2021, YGL was invited to attended the U7 Lauch Event at the Residence of the British Ambassador. U7 is the UK Excellence Subject Alignment consist of 7 traditional prestigious universities in leading places worldwide in different subject areas, including University of Aberdeen, Bangor University, University of Essex, Heriot-Watt University, University of Reading, Robert Gordon University and Sheffield Hallam University. During the event, representatives of YGL communicated with the seven universities for the potential and progressing cooperation opportunities towards the Joint Education and other education cooperation.


On December 23rd, 2020, Professor Zou Weidong, the vice President of Longyan University, along with relevant leaders of secondary colleges and departments, held an online meeting with Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. Two sides reached an agreement on carrying out all-round education cooperation and working towards the final goal of developing a Sino-Thai joint teaching institute. During the meeting, the preparation of MoU was approved by both sides.


On Dec. 10th, 2020, the 2020 Silk Road International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research, and Application opened successfully in Xi'an. The representative of European University Cyprus, as the only representative of foreign universities, signed a cooperation agreement with Xi'an Shiyou University, so to promote cooperation between Chinese and foreign universities on the Belt and Road countries, contributing to the internationalization of Chinese universities.


On November 5th, 2020, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University visited Quanzhou Normal University. The two sides held an in-depth discussion on the establishment of a Confucius Institute, students' overseas internships, short-term language and cultural activities and joint teaching, etc.


On October 21st, 2020, thanks to the coordination made by YGL, Jianghan University held a video conference with Glyndwr University (UK) to discuss international exchange and cooperation. Dr. Aulay Mackenzie, vice-Chancellor of Glyndwr University, Mr. Deng Xinghai, director for Asia-Pacific region, Mr. Sun Nan, International Development Manager attended the conference respectively in the UK and Malaysia. This video conference marked the second formal meeting between the two parties, during which both sides agreed to further promote academic exchanges and related cooperation in accordance with the current consensus and instructions of the both presidents.


On November 3rd, 2020, with the active coordination of YGL, Mr. Zhang Dejun, Deputy Dean of College of Innovation and Management, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, visited the Foreign Affairs Office of Fujian Province and held a conversation with Deputy Director, Mr Chen Chuxin (in charge of Asian affairs) and Division Director Mr Cai Wenzhi. Two parties conducted in-depth communication on SSRU's seek for in-depth cooperation with universities in Fujian and invited Fujian universities to set up Confucius Institutes in Thailand, which was supported by relevant leaders. At the meeting, the Visiting Letter from the Governor of Samut Sakhon Province was forwarded, authorizing SSRU to set up friendly relation between Fujian Province and Samut Sakhon Province, Thailand.


On 21st Dec. 2020, accompanied by representatives from University of Chester, Ms. Caroline Wilson, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to China, paid a visit to Fujian and inaugurated the UoC-FAFU Joint Research Centre of Terahertz Piant Phenotyping. It further promotes the establishment of sister-city relationship between Fujian Province and County of Cheshire, UK.


On July 8th, 2020, coordinated by YGL, the 1st Minjiang-EUC International Academic Symposium with theme of “Cross-regional Cooperation and Innovation” was held online. Participants delivered reports on regional cooperation and innovation in social security and fishery innovation in the Internet era. During the meeting, Professor Wang Zonghua, President of Minjiang University and Professor Kostas Gouliamos, President of European University of Cyprus, and other scholars delivered keynote speeches. The conference played an important role in bridging the joint-teaching cooperation between Minjiang University and the European University, Cyprus.


At the invitation of Fujian Provincial Foreign Affair Office, from September 7th to 11th 2020, the European education delegation, organized by YGL and composed of several well-known European universities, participated in the China International Fair for Investment and Trade at Xiamen. The delegation also visited Fujian Provincial Department of Education, Jimei University, Quanzhou University of Information Engineering and other universities in Fujian Province to discuss issues such as joint institution, teacher training, student and faculty exchanges and so on.


From Oct. 21st to Oct. 23rd, 2019, Professor Chris Haslam, Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chester, visited Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University with the deans of the secondary schools, the directors of the International Department and the Quality Assurance Department. Later both universities paid a visit to Hanban, and planned to jointly apply for the establishment of the first Confucius Institute with the characteristics of Tea Culture.


From July 21st to 25th, 2019, delegation of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University visited the University of Chester, the College of Arts and Humanities, College of Education, College of Health and Nursing, College of Science and Engineering, College of Life Sciences, College of Agriculture, College of Business, One Belt One Road China-UK Business Institute and China Center.
