On November 10th, the opening ceremony of the 2024 International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and Application was held in Chongqing. Ma Zhen, the Vice Mayor of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He emphasized that the conference was significant in promoting the deep integration of domestic and foreign universities, research institutes and enterprises. Chongqing would take the successful holding of this conference as an opportunity to strengthen communication and cooperation with all sectors at home and abroad.

At the opening ceremony, Chongqing University signed with Novosibirsk State University the agreement to jointly build Chongqing University-Novosibirsk State University Joint Basic Research Center. It is expected to be a milestone of two leading universities in China and Russia to conduct close collaboration in basic science.

On November 11th-12th, the delegation from Novosibirsk State University visited the School of Physics, as well as School of Mechanics, and School of Mathematics at Chongqing University. The professors from two sides had in-depth exchanges on scientific research cooperation, joint education and other related topics. The meeting delved into the specific details of cooperation, including the planning of summer camp activities and the construction of interdisciplinary research centers. After the meetings, the delegation also visited the science popularization laboratory, quantum materials and device research center and analysis & testing center of Chongqing University on site, which greatly promoted understanding and trust between both sides. YGL's guidance throughout these visits ensured that the delegation had a comprehensive and in-depth experience, fostering stronger ties and potential future collaborations.

This visit not only laid a solid foundation for cooperation between the two universities, but also painted a beautiful blueprint for future deep cooperation and achievement co- creation in the fields of scientific research and talent cultivation.
