From February 17th , 2025 to March 2nd , 2025, YGL Business Director of the Cooperative Education Department Tian Mao and interpreter Zhangxia paid an official visit to universities in city of St. Petersburg located in the northwestern Baltic region. It serves as the gateway connecting Eurasia and Europe. As Russia's second-largest city, St. Petersburg was founded in 1703 with a total area of 1,439 square kilometers and a population of 5 million. The city boasts convenient transportation infrastructure and holds strategic significance.St. Petersburg was a hub of higher education resources and hosted over 80 institutions among which 14 top universities were selected in the project of “5-100” and “2030 priorities”.

On February 18th , they visited Prof. Valetin Sobolev, Director of Office of International relations, St. Petersburg Institute of Technology. Two parties intended to established a cooperative relationship to initiate the comprehensive collaboration and searched the possible partners under YGL framework agreement especially in the program of chemical engineering.

Between February 19th and 20th , they paid an official visit to Peter the Great Polytechnic University- a top comprehensive university ranked 559th in the QS World University Rankings in 2024. they were hosted by Director Olga Emelyanova and Deputy Director Tatiana Sytnikova. During the meeting, YGL representatives brought the detailed business scope and proposal. Both parties were interested to explore the collaboration possibility through frequent meetings and mutual understanding.

On July 24th , invited by Julia Filippova, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, St. Petersburg University of Electronic Technology, they visited one of the oldest universities in St. Petersburg established in 1886 where the father of modern radio technology Vasily Popov worked. Both parties expressed the enthusiasm and willing to promote the joint institutions in which covered industrial automation, electricity engineering and radio communication.

During their visit, they were also welcomed and hosted by the colleagues from St. Petersburg Agricultural University, St. Petersburg Pharmaceutical University, St. Petersburg State University of Economics and St. Petersburg University of Economics, Technology and Management. YGL will take advantage of this visit and continuously expand the influence in the universities in St. Petersburg.
