Between MAY 12th and May 18th , YGL CEO Edison Shen paid an official visit to Spanish universities and partners.
On May 12th , He met Les Naus, director of the Information Media and Technological Innovation Center of the Valencian Regional Government, and Ivan Salazar Chang, president of the Sports and Health Industrial Cluster of the Valencian Regional Alliance. The meeting highlighted Qingdao's development while providing in-depth insights into Valencia Region and its municipal technological innovation sectors. Both parties agreed to expedite the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), facilitate reciprocal visits, and establish sister-city relations. In the areas that spans urban sustainability, artificial intelligence, smart city initiatives, social welfare systems, animation, sports, leisure industries, tourism, and robotics. Two parties further explored opportunities under the YES program and potential short-term study programs for Spanish students.

Invited by University Polytechnal De Valencia (UPV), on the morning of May 13th he met UPV vice rector Jose Monserrat, Director of the Admissions Office Toni Perez, Dean of the Lifelong Education Institute Patricio Monteseno. On behalf of Qingdao University of Technology, he submitted the proposal letter to UPV and introduced the cooperation model of Sino-foreign cooperative joint program and joint institution to vice rector Jose Monserrat and attendees, Edison Shen strengthened both parties had in-depth discussions on comprehensively deepening the strategic partnership between Qingdao University of Technology and UPV through a serial of activities. UPV vice rector Jose Monserrat was highly appreciated with YGL’s proposal and their efforts to promote the collaboration of two countries’s high education.

On May 15th during the visit to Miguel Matinez Bernal, President of the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce, and Firmino Morgado, former Spanish National Assembly member and Director of the National Anti-Corruption Office, Edison Shen highlighted the company's profile and Weifang City's development status aiming to establish sister-city relations between Weifang and Cartagena. President Matinez Bernal endorsed the proposal by YGL to form a sister-city partnership and actively coordinated with relevant industry associations in Weifang to boost economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two cities.

On May 16th and 17th , he visited Cartagena University of Technology and ENAE Business School of University of Murcia respectively. Through consultations and communication with the representatives, YGL successfully reached an intention and mutual agreement with both universities.
