On October 27th, YGL accompanied the delegation led by Papadopoulos, Vice President of the West Greece Region of Greece, on a visit to Sichuan, and held a meeting with Zheng Li, Director of the Publicity Department of Sichuan Province, in Chengdu.

Zheng Li extended a warm welcome to Papadopoulos and his delegation, and introduced the economic and social development of Sichuan. She pointed out that Sichuan and Greece have a long-standing friendly exchange and have achieved fruitful cooperation results in various fields such as cultural relics and archaeology, as well as sports events. She hoped that this meeting would serve as an opportunity to further deepen the friendly ties with the West Greece Region, expand cooperation in more areas such as tourism, agricultural technology, and higher education, and achieve more pragmatic and mutually beneficial cooperation outcomes.

Papadopoulos expressed his gratitude to Sichuan for the warm reception and thoughtful arrangements, and introduced the development of the West Greece Region. He stated that the West Greece Region attaches great importance to its friendly relations with Sichuan, and is willing to establish more regular exchanges and contacts with Sichuan, further strengthen cooperation in the fields of culture and education, continuously consolidate the friendship, and achieve win-win development.
