On June 9, 2026, a delegation led by Lv Hongling, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shandong Institute of Petroleum and Chemical Technology (SDIPCT), paid an official visit to Saint-Petersburg State Institute of Technology, Russia (Technical University) (SPBTI). Tian Mao, Director of the Global Strategic Cooperation Department of YGL, together with relevant staff, received the delegation and accompanied the site visits. Andrey Pavlovich Shevchik, Rector of Saint Petersburg State Technological University, and Valentin Vasilyevich Solovyov, Former Vice Rector and Director of the International Affairs Office, attended the discussion meeting.

The two sides held productive and pragmatic talks. Leveraging its strengths in resource integration for international educational cooperation, YGL accurately aligned the partnership demands of Chinese and Russian universities. Building upon their existing cooperative education institute, the parties conducted in-depth discussions on key disciplines including applied chemical research, petroleum refining, petroleum equipment, biochemistry and energy economics. Multiple consensus points were reached covering joint research initiatives, co-construction of international scientific research platforms, faculty and student exchange programs, and co-hosting international academic conferences. YGL will keep tracking the implementation of all cooperative initiatives and deliver full-cycle professional support for project applications to ensure smooth and efficient progress of the partnership.
